Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada, 10th Dec 2025 – Southern Ontario now has one of its first mobile in-home hearing clinics with the launch of Hearing Oasis, a hearing care practice founded by Hearing Instrument Specialist Parnian “Pam” Gorjizadeh. Offering both in-home and clinic-based services, Hearing Oasis aims to remove barriers to hearing care for seniors, caregivers, busy families, and individuals with mobility or transportation challenges across the Niagara and Hamilton regions.
For Pam, the launch of Hearing Oasis represents the culmination of a lifelong journey shaped by her own lived experience. Born with severe hearing loss, she was diagnosed at three years old and fit with her first pair of hearing aids the same year. Growing up, she experienced firsthand what it meant to struggle to hear the world around her.
Her career path became clear during her final year of Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences at McMaster University. Despite her hard work, university was incredibly isolating. She could not always hear classmates sitting beside her when they tried to connect. Using a classroom microphone system helped only slightly, and she often felt exhausted from trying to keep up academically and socially. “Those years showed me how deeply hearing loss affects confidence, learning, and belonging,” she explained.
A defining moment came much later on, when modern hearing aid technology finally let her hear and fully participate in an online work webinar with a sense of clarity she had never experienced before. “It was surprising,” she said. “It made me realize how much freer life could be, and how quickly technology is moving.”
After completing a Communicative Disorders Assistant program at Lambton College, she graduated with distinction from the Hearing Aid Practitioner program at MacEwan University and went on to work with major hearing care providers across Ontario. Over nearly a decade in the field, she built a reputation for compassionate, detail-oriented care and became known for the strong relationships she formed with clients and families.
Throughout her career, one need kept resurfacing. Families and caregivers repeatedly asked for home-based hearing care for loved ones who could not travel. Seeing this need, combined with her own lived experience, inspired the creation of Hearing Oasis.
“With Hearing Oasis, I wanted to remove every barrier,” says Pam. “Not everyone can easily get to a clinic. Some do not drive anymore, some are caring for a loved one, and some simply feel safer at home. We meet people where they are, literally.”
Hearing Oasis offers in-home and in-clinic hearing assessments, hearing aid fittings, custom noise protection, cerumen removal, assistance with third-party insurance applications, and ongoing follow-up care. The mobile clinic also regularly visits retirement homes and long-term care facilities.
One client shared that having the appointment in the comfort of his own home made the entire process feel easy and stress-free. He described Pam as warm, knowledgeable, and attentive, noting that the testing was quick, thorough, and far less intimidating than he had imagined. As a musician living with hearing loss from past noise exposure, he admitted he had spent years avoiding a hearing test out of fear. He expressed deep gratitude that Pam met him with patience and understanding, guiding him through every step with genuine care and professionalism. His experience, shared in a Google Review by client Gates R., reflects the comfort and confidence many clients feel when supported in their own homes.
Hearing Oasis proudly serves clients across Southern Ontario, including communities throughout the Niagara and Hamilton regions. Appointments can be booked online or by phone, with both mobile and clinic-based options available.
